Due to the unprecedented public health impacts associated with responding to the COVID 19 pandemic, Schuyler County is instituting measures intended to limit the spread of this disease. Effectively immediately we are instituting in excess of a 50 % reduction of onsite staff as directed by Governor Cuomo (Executive Order 202.4). As part of this move, we have increased our capacity to work remotely and will strive to continue to provide essential County services utilizing a different manner of delivery to minimize in person contact. While most County facilities remain open, the public is asked to call ahead before visiting and limit interactions wherever possible. Essential services (law enforcement, emergency services, public health…etc) will continue to operate at full staffing. The links below provide specific departmental information outlining the changes that have been instituted to protect our staff and the public we serve. We will continue to work closely with our state and federal partners to aggressively battle the spread of this disease and appreciate your understanding and assistance in helping to “flatten the curve” of contagion.
